A fine silver-fumed glass galaxy marble featuring a floating opal planet and backside decoration. The sphere measures 30 mm in diameter and is made of durable borosilicate glass.
The base color is dark blue, with fine silver fuming used for the inner design and shades of blue for the backside decoration. The rest of the piece is clear borosilicate glass. The opal planet is a 3mm sphere that flashes yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, and green depending on the angle of light. The specific type of opal used in this piece is called a ghost opal, which can appear almost invisible from certain angles, adding to its allure and mystique.
All marbles are annealed in a digital kiln for quality, strength, and durability. Each piece is handcrafted by me in my home studio in Akrata, Greece.
